  Congregation Reassignments in Ohio?

  from what i understand, a letter was read this past week in regards to congregation reassignments and that the elders want to meet with people at their homes to tell them where they have been reassigned.

  obviously, this would be due to the merging and dissolution of congregations.

  can anyone confirm this?.

  Liberal vs. Democrat in the U.S.A.

  it seems that many believe that a liberal in the usa must be a democrat, pretty much following the party core teachings and some even think it means approving the party history of, during the 19th century, supporting or tolerated slavery and opposing civil rights reforms after the civil war.

  some even insist that a liberal loves anything and everything obama did..

  History is important, but irrelevant when it comes to present facts. Help me here those who know better, but I feel that racism is not necessarily attached to the political party, it's more likely it to be attached to the individual or the tribe. More specifically, the proslavery South was Democrat until recently, now is Republican. Am I supposed to believe that Southerners have become enlightened by switching parties. I don't think so. Racist views remain for generations and have very little to do with Democrat or Republican labels. That's not to say that all Southerners, or even most Southerners are racist. They just tend to be above average when compared to other states.

  The success of so much bias news to the left and to the right doesn't speak very well of the readers. In fact, isn't it the U.S. one of the most religious country? That should help understand why the fake news is so successful. Children are indoctrinated very early and by the time they are adults they are well trained to believe only the stuff that has been fed into their brains in the early years.

  Having learned a thing or two about cults and cult members make me realize that humans have a need for confirmation bias through religion, or media, or any other means. Nobody wants to be wrong, and our brains will endure any cognitive dissonance levels to avoid disconfirmation. Will it ever get better? I hope so, but I am not very optimistic.

  in this summer's convention theres a video showing the tale of a rather geeky plain looking brother whose relating the tale of how the prettiest girl in the whole school fancied him (!

  ) and sent him a love letter, the letter is read and it says .

  "i think we would get along,i'm attracted to you, i like your personality, and that's not all, i think we could have fun together.

  it just suddenly occured to me today.... you know the jws always say about adams sin being passed on to his descendants that its like you have a bread pan with a dent in it and that every loaf of bread will then have a dent?

  well that's fine for bread, cos your using the same pan.

  The JW's have a flawed interpretation of something that is very flawed already (original sin belief or doctrine) and depends on something fraught with problems (Judaism, Christianity, a loving, personal God that murders left and right, etc.) Is it worth even having a discussion?

  Some people here worry about mainstream media. Yes, they lean left heavily, but try to adhere to journalistic standards and are crucified when they don't. The bigger problem is the new media: talk radio, internet, social networks. In these places there's no journalistic standards at all. Fake news, illegal immigration, identity politics and Islamists gave us Trump. Having listened to conservative talk radio for over 20 years, I can assure you president Donald Trump and the current tribalism wouldn't be possible without this media. Conservative talk radio is a f..ing cult too!

  Yep. POTUS set the example and people feel encouraged. Say what you may about Obama's progressive policies, he was a man that was articulate, diplomatic, professional. Something Trump will never be, but for some strange reason the supporters don't care about civility and diplomacy. Strange times we live in.

  I never thought that I would see the day when Republicans and Democrats would agree on something as important as race. Democrats had been pushing the idea of "race matters" for decades. Now Republicans are coming on board and agreeing that "race matters" That's progress... towards a unified racist society. Let's give credit where credit is due, thank you Trump!! United we fall!
